What the cards cover

Everyday responses: messages such as “Yes”, “No” and “I do not understand”.
Feelings: ways to share feeling anxious, frustrated or overwhelmed.
Space and time: messages such as “I need a moment” and “I need space please”.
Sensory and physical needs: messages about noise, brightness, headphones and feeling unwell.

The cards use written messages. Choose wording the person understands, either independently or with support. They may be useful for children, teens or adults with selective mutism, or in other situations where written communication is helpful.
