How it helps

Helping your child understand big feelings doesn’t have to be overwhelming. This Big Feelings Toolkit gives children simple, visual ways to recognise emotions, notice how feelings affect their bodies and practise calming strategies.

Created using experience from my previous work as a qualified Occupational Therapist, the toolkit supports emotional awareness, confidence and self-regulation through engaging, easy-to-follow activities. It is suitable for use at home, in the classroom, in a calm corner or during one-to-one support.

What is included

  • Feelings wheel and emotion-identification activities
  • Reflection sheets to help children explore their feelings
  • Emotion-matching activities
  • Body-signal activities to notice how feelings can feel physically
  • Calming-strategy prompts and step-by-step activities

You can view examples of the included pages in the product images.

Usage licence

Use it whenever and wherever it is needed within one household or one organisation/site.

A single purchase may be printed and used multiple times by one household or at one school, hospital, clinic, therapy practice or care setting. Staff at that organisation may use it with the children, patients or people they directly support.

A parent or carer may also give the file or printed pages to their child’s named teacher, therapist, healthcare professional or support team for use with that child.

Please keep the digital file within that household or organisation. It may not be uploaded to public or shared-resource websites, passed to unrelated households or organisations, resold, redistributed or used to create products for sale. Separate purchases are required for additional schools, branches, sites or unrelated organisations.
